UTM Cash Core

UTM Cash Core is application software for bank ATMs and other self-service devices. It runs on the ATM computer, executes customer transactions, controls ATM devices and communicates with the processing center. UTM Cash Core works through the CEN/XFS standard, so one application can be used on ATMs of different manufacturers within the same network.

Multi-vendor support

The hardware abstraction layer of UTM Cash Core separates the transaction logic from specific devices. The bank uses the same application, the same settings and the same transaction flows on all ATMs, regardless of the manufacturer and the model. New ATM models and devices are connected without changes to the transaction logic.

UTM Cash Core supports ATMs of ATEC, Diebold Nixdorf, GRG Banking, Hitachi, Nautilus, NCR, OKI, Cashway and other XFS-compliant manufacturers. Besides ATMs, it is used in cash-in machines (ADM) and payment kiosks.

Transactions and devices

UTM Cash Core supports cash withdrawal and cash deposit, recycling and multi-currency configurations. It controls dispensers, recyclers, cash-in modules, card and contactless readers, PIN pads, receipt and journal printers and barcode readers. Device errors and retracts are processed by built-in recovery scenarios: after a failure the application resets the device and, where possible, continues customer service.

Host communication

Communication with the processing center is carried out via the NDC / NDC+ protocols, including traffic encryption and remote key loading. Customer screens can be standard NDC screens, HTML screens or customer journeys created in UTM Vision Connect.

Configuration and operation

Devices, payment system parameters, cassettes, retract handling, receipts and journals are set up in the configuration utility without programming. A configuration can be exported and applied to other ATMs, which makes the roll-out across a large network fast and reproducible. Separate interfaces are provided for administrators, cash-in-transit staff and service engineers.

Security

UTM Cash Core supports EMV and is developed in line with the PCI Secure Software Standard. The UTM Advanced Security utility configures the security of the ATM operating system automatically: user accounts and rights, local and audit policies, access to the registry and the file system, system services and the firewall.
